"You wake up and it is 6:45 PM or so. You are sweating profusely. You remember bits and portions of your dream. The screaming of your wife and the loss of your child. It has been almost two years since your wife and son both died during childbirth. You were the most successful freelance exorcist in the city once, until you began having these dreams and visions, and it didn't help that a massive exorcism resulting in the death of the possessed you were attempting to exorcise, brought much unneeded attention to the church, which had to excommunicate you to save face. You will stay up some nights listening to the howls coming from the prairie and listening to the radio news stations for anything better. You have become aware of the evil in the world around you. The dead disguised as humans walk the night and no one seems to notice, but you do. You cannot remember the last time you noticed the sun in the sky. People are just going about their lives as they must. Scientists and Astronomers are baffled, and the news is constantly changing the story from atmospheric events to climate change to end-of-times scenarios depending on who you listen to. Odd weather and climate events are common now, and occasional rioting and general lawlessness grips the city. Another night of terrors awaits you. You wipe the sweat from your forehead as you sit up from bed. Where to begin?"
